Multi-Billion Dollar Project Generates Jobs in Las Vegas

Over ten thousand jobs await Las Vegas residents when MGM MIRAGE's latest pride CityCenter opens in the city on 2009.

According to MGM President Bill McBeath, the on-going construction for the 7 billion dollar Project CityCenter, which formally laid its foundation on June 26 for the development of Las Vegas Strip, is currently employing six hundred full time workers.

He added that eight thousand new jobs solely for the construction will be offered from this point until the construction ends in three years time and when the CityCenter opens in 2009, an estimate of 12,000 more people will be added to its roster of competent employees.

Aside from the construction jobs they are offering for the moment, MGM intends to hire agents for CityCenter's residential units, entertainers, receptionists, crews for the retail stores and vacancies from other MGM resorts and casinos.

CityCenter's Residential Division Executive Vice President Tony Dennis emphasized that the project would be capitalizing on Las Vegas talents only. Locals from Las Vegas will be given utmost importance and priority as they hire an average of twenty to forty people a week.

Project CityCenter, which is one of the largest construction projects in the US, holds the record for the largest career opportunity so far in Las Vegas' history.
